Rently is a property management application designed for individual landlords and small property owners. This Privacy Policy explains what information Rently collects, how it is used, where it is stored, and your rights regarding that information.
By using Rently, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this policy.
Rently collects only the information you explicitly enter into the app. We do not collect telemetry, analytics, advertising identifiers, or any data beyond what is needed to provide the app's core functionality.
Your email address and password, used to create and authenticate your Rently account.
Property addresses, unit details, mortgage amounts, lender names, annual property tax, insurance premiums, and expense records including attached receipt images.
Tenant names, phone numbers, and email addresses. Lease terms including move-in and move-out dates, rent amounts, security deposits, rent due dates, and payment history.
Photos taken with your device camera or selected from your photo library, uploaded as compressed image files to your private cloud storage folder.
Messages you compose to tenants, stored locally and synced to your account.
All data you enter is used solely to provide Rently's property management features:
We do not use your data for advertising, profiling, or any purpose beyond operating the app for you.
All your data is stored locally on your device in an encrypted database. The app works fully offline and cloud sync is optional.
When you enable cloud sync, your data is stored on Supabase (Supabase Inc.), a managed cloud database platform hosted on AWS. Your data is protected by strict access controls that ensure only your authenticated account can read or write your records. All data is transmitted over HTTPS at all times.
Receipt images are stored in a private storage bucket. Files are not publicly accessible and are tied strictly to your account. Your password is never stored in plain text.
Rently uses one third-party service for cloud functionality:

We do not use Google Analytics, Firebase, advertising SDKs, crash reporting services, or any other third-party data collection tools.

Local data remains on your device until you uninstall the app.
Cloud data is retained as long as your account is active. You can request deletion of your account and all associated data by emailing surendra.devarashetty@gmail.com. Requests are processed within 30 days.
Receipt images are deleted from cloud storage when you remove them from an expense record.
Rently is a business application intended for adults aged 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under the age of 13. If you believe a minor has provided personal information through the app, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
